Returning to Chiggerfest for 2025 is the Chiggerfest Regatta with races for kids and adults! In addition to cardboard boat races, races using kayaks and canoes are being added. Details are below!

 Race Location:

• The race will be held on the water directly in front of the Table Rock Airport runway.

Race Participation and Rules:

• $5 entry fee per race

• We will have some canoes and kayaks on hand for those that may not have access to them.

• Winners of each race will receive a memento and a Chiggerfest Regatta t-shirt

• All contestants must wear life jackets. We will have some extras but please bring your own if possible.

• No hitting or pushing other contestants with oars to get ahead!

Cardboard Boat Construction Rules:

The only materials allowed in the construction of participating cardboard boats are:

• Cardboard

• Tape

• Glue

• Caulk

We encourage you to decorate your boats, especially if it reflects the 2025 Chiggerfest theme of Disney!

Youth Races:

For all youth races, contestants must paddle around the center of 3 buoys and make it back to shore. There will be no more than 6 contestants per heat, with a final playoff race including the top 3 from each racing for the championship. There will be 4 youth races:

• Cardboard Boat Race for Ages 12 and Under

• Cardboard Boat Race for Ages 13 to 18

• Manufactured Kayak/Canoe Race for Ages 12 and Under

• Manufactured Kayak/Canoe Race for Ages 13 to 18

Adult Races:

All contestants in adult races must paddle around all 3 buoys and make it back to shore. There will be no more than 6 contestants per heat, with a final playoff race including the top 3 from each race for the championship. Adult races will include:

• Cardboard Boat Race for Men and Women Over 18

• “Dirty Regatta” with Kayaks/Canoes for Men and Women Over 18 - This “dirty regatta” race means that water balloons, water cannons, water guns, etc. are encouraged as you race against your competitors and try to beat them to the finish line!
